A dossier for the Lundquist Award, including the letter of nomination, supporting letters, the candidate’s C.V., and other documents, should be submitted electronically to the Chair of the Academic Personnel Committee Yi Cheng, ycheng@iusb.edu, no later than November 1, 2021.

The Lundquist Award is the campus’ highest faculty award,… made to a meritorious faculty member of Indiana University South Bend Campus, who has exhibited excellence in teaching, scholarly or artistic achievement, and diversified relevant service, preferably in community service throughout the Michiana region.

“Equitable and Inclusive Teaching: Designing a Supportive Learning Experience”

Led by Stacie Merken and Jay VanderVeen, with guests from across campus.

The Institute is on five Fridays during the semester: Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Oct. 29, Nov. 12, and Dec. 10. The institute will begin at 10am for all members and open sessions start at 11am. Open sessions will also be streamed via Zoom.

This interactive workshop invites you to collaborate with other faculty to share what you know, explore how and why social identities come into play in the learning environment, and experience active learning strategies that increase engagement and inclusion.

Register with ucet@iusb.edu by September 3. A book will be provided to all institute members.
