The IUSB Campus Ally Network (CAN) works to visibly affirm and support students, staff, faculty, and alumni of all sexual orientations and/or gender identities. CAN provides training for individuals interested in joining the campus-wide network of affirming allies.
Combining direct instruction with active participation, the curriculum includes terminology, campus resources and policies, identity development, and other topics relevant to the LGBTQ+ community.
Next Campus Ally Network training session
Part One (online, asynchronous on Canvas) opens October 18.
Part Two (in-person, location TBA) is October 28, 5-7 pm.

The Honors Program invites all interested students to come learn about the many benefits of being an honors student on the IU South Bend campus by attending one of two information sessions to be held in the Fireside Rooms in the Grill on:

The leaves aren’t the only thing changing this Fall.
BUY.IU’s user interface will be updated to a new look and feel. Requisition, purchase order, and invoice documents will be impacted by the change. Starting next Wednesday, September 15, you’ll be able to test drive the new interface.
If you use BUY.IU in any capacity, Join Holly Hooper and Sarah Chavez from the VPCFO Training & Communications team for a webinar to learn about what’s coming, get introduced to the new interface, and how you can prepare.

Schurz Library has availability for the display cases in the main lobby for the school year! Using a display case is a great opportunity to help your IUSB club, group, or department advertise, promote awareness, or share information with anyone who walks by, provided the contents increase the awareness of Library collections, services, or events. Display cases are up for a month at a time and are changed at the beginning of the month. Join students across the country at 1:00 P.M. (EST) on Friday, September 17th for this (virtual) Constitution Day event.
Designed to reach across differences, this hour-long event creates a space for open discussion of the U.S. Constitution. This national, facilitated dialogue on September 17 is based on the fundamental value of the pursuit of knowledge for the public good. Access to information about the U.S. Constitution will be provided, but you need not be an expert to enjoy this event and to share in the lively conversation. Open to all higher education students, faculty, and staff.
