Tutoring for IUB undergraduates has been difficult to navigate in the past. A recent drop in tutoring usage statistics led the Student Academic Center to seek out a better way to guide students to tutoring, academic coaching, and support courses that can help improve their grades and help them comprehend material across all courses.
Tutoring.indiana.edu has a page for each discipline or course that has tutoring available to IU Bloomington undergraduate students (26 and growing). Departments can link directly to the appropriate tutoring page in syllabi and student outreach. The site uses a modular design in the WCMS so that duplicated content across different pages can be easily maintained in one place.
In addition to pages dedicated to specific disciplines and courses, the site features a Get Started section with strategies for students, information about free and paid tutoring, details about academic coaching through the UD Peer Academic Coaches or SAC, details about SAC’s support courses, and how to contact each tutoring center.
