A question that a number of OVPUE staff have asked recently is, ‘how do I access the content that was in my Group Account or Box Entrusted folders after the Box migrations’?
In most cases, the answer is Microsoft Teams.
What is Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams is a collaboration platform. It is part of Microsoft 365, a subscription service to a number of solutions from Microsoft that includes Office 365 and some other cloud services.
How do I access Microsoft Teams?
The Microsoft Teams platform is accessible to IU employees at https://office.com. When signing in to Office.com, use your IUusername@iu.edu for the ‘Sign in’ email address. The password is your regular IU passphrase.

Beyond the Box Account Migrations
When the UITS copy-over of Box Entrusted accounts is complete, copies of OVPUE’s Box Entrusted files will be accessible through Microsoft Teams, under the ‘General’ channel for each OVPUE unit. The files will be accessible from the ‘Files’ tab in a folder labelled [SEC] BL-VPUE-YourUnitsName.
Please note that files will continue to be accessible through Box. However, if a department does continue to make edits on the file copies in Box, it will be their responsibility to manually copy-over any changes made in Box after the UITS copy-over. If not replicated in the new locations, modifications made in Box after the UITS copy-over will be lost when the contract with Box ends in March 2021.
