For several months, OVPUE IT has been working with IU Corps to complete an application for collecting service hour data from students. IU Corps will provide marketing and programming support for the ongoing campaign once the tool is released. This tool uses a customized interface built on the Digital Campus team’s Rivet design system with graphic design work by OVPUE IT’s Sandeep Bedadala.
The new application allows students to share their own service activities and features integrations for social media sharing of the One Million Hours campaign. Once logged in, students can create various service records and easily add hours with a calendar record-keeping interface developed by David Waicukauski and Sandeep Bedadala in OVPUE IT.
I loved working with the entire OVPUE IT team, and the product is beyond all expectations. I can’t wait to see how this can help students recognize, track, and reinforce civic engagement. It is a significant step forward creating a campus culture of service.
