PhD Students
Several graduate positions are currently available in FOIB Lab. The group focuses on developing cutting-edge optical imaging systems, including high-resolution optical coherence tomography and fluorescence microscopy, to enable new investigations in the biomedical research field. The group uses a translational approach to study disease mechanisms; from the fundamental understanding of biological processes involved in normal and pathological conditions in animal models to the early diagnosis and monitoring of disease progression in human subjects. The laboratory is looking for highly motivated students from various backgrounds including physics, optical engineering, biomedical imaging, bioengineering, image processing or a related discipline. Interest in vision science is a plus. Click here to learn more.
Undergraduate and Graduate Research Assistants
FOIB Lab is constantly looking for undergraduate and graduate research assistants to join its multidisciplinary team and help with different projects. The lab encourages highly motivated students, willing to learn and acquire new skills, to apply. The lab welcomes students from any discipline. Some background in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Biology, Life Science, Data Analysis, Computer programming, or related disciplines will be a plus. To apply, simply send your CV and a short interest statement to Dr. Tankam at ptankam@iu.edu.
