Graduate Students
Two Ph.D. positions are currently available in FOIB Lab. The group focuses on developing cutting-edge optical imaging systems, including high-resolution optical coherence tomography and fluorescence microscopy, to enable new investigations in the biomedical research field. The group uses a translational approach to study disease mechanisms; from the fundamental understanding of biological processes involved in normal and pathological conditions in animal models to the early diagnostic and monitoring of disease progression in human subjects. The laboratory is looking for highly motivated students from various backgrounds including engineering, optical physics, biomedical imaging, bioengineering or a related discipline. Interest in vision science is a plus. Click here to learn more.
Undergraduate Students
FOIB Lab is constantly looking for undergraduate research assistants to join his multidisciplinary team and help with the different projects. The lab encourages highly motivated students, willing to learn and acquire new skills, to apply. The lab welcomes students from any discipline. Some background in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Biology, Life Science, Data Analysis, Computer programming or related disciplines will be a plus. To apply, simply send your CV and a short interest statement to Dr. Tankam at ptankam@iu.edu.
