The FOIB Lab constantly seeks talented and motivated individuals who desire to develop and embrace new learning opportunities. We believe in human power and the potential hidden in every human being. If you are not afraid of crossing disciplinary boundaries, join us to enable new discoveries at the frontiers of optical imaging, computer science, and biology.
Postdoctoral Research Associates
Email your research interest and resume to Dr. Tankam at ptankam@iu.edu if you are interested in a postdoctoral position.
PhD Students
Ph.D. positions are available in Dr. Tankam’s Frontiers of Optical Imaging and Biology lab at Indiana University School of Optometry. The group focuses on developing cutting-edge optical imaging systems, including cellular-resolution optical coherence tomography and fluorescence microscopy for imaging the living eye in humans and transgenic mice. The group uses a translational approach to study disease mechanisms; from the fundamental understanding of biological processes involved in normal and pathological conditions in mouse models to the early diagnostic and monitoring of human disease progression. The laboratory seeks highly motivated students from various backgrounds including physics, optical engineering, optical design, instrumentation, biomedical imaging, bioengineering, image processing, or a related discipline. Interest in vision science is a plus. Learn more and apply here : https://optometry.iu.edu/admissions/apply/ms-phd-programs.html
Undergraduate and Graduate Research Assistants
FOIB Lab is constantly looking for undergraduate and graduate research assistants to join its multidisciplinary team and help with different projects. The lab encourages highly motivated students, willing to learn and acquire new skills, to apply. The lab welcomes students from any discipline. Some background in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Biology, Life Science, Data Analysis, Computer programming, or related disciplines will be a plus. To apply, simply send your CV and a short interest statement to Dr. Tankam at ptankam@iu.edu.
