Congratulations to Oliver Hobson, one of the 2020 Mueller Award recipients. Oliver is earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the College of Arts and Science with a minor in Biomedical Anthropology. Academically, he has been involved as a Research Assistant in the Primate Environmental Endocrinology Lab and the IU School of Optometry. He was a Head Medical Trip Leader for IU Outdoor Adventures, a curator for TedxIndiana, and a member of the Board of Aeons. Throughout his various roles in the past four years of being an IU student, he is proud of the amount of personal growth he has undergone through his many different leadership and research opportunities.
Oliver wanted to personally acknowledge his support system both the Hobson and IU family. In this acknowledgement, he said, “I want to first and foremost thank family. The Hobson Clan is a tight bunch of wonderful people who unconditionally love each other and make each other better people than we were before. I also want to thank my advisors and
professors, in no particular order of importance, you’ve all meant more to me than you know: Kelly Kish, Michael Wasserman, Andrew Libby, David Owen, Fritz Lieber, Cate Reck, Dr. Nick Port, Michelle Savoie, Tyler Kivland, and Brian Croft. Also, shoutout to all of my inspiring peers who I have collaborated with and come to call friends over the past four years.”
