“The day started like any other travel day. We got to the airport nice and early and relax at the gate before sleeping on the plane. Once we made it to LA and away from the airport, the excitement really started to set in. We drove past beautiful homes and palm trees as we fantasized about life here. Finally we came to our first stop, Manhattan beach, where we wore ourselves out with a fun game of volleyball!” — Jared Griffin, Senior, IU Soul Revue Vocalist
“Traveling to LA with the Soul Revue was stress free and easy. Everybody held their own and watched each others’ back as we went on the plane and made it through LA. When we finally made it to the beach we had a great time putting our feet in the water and playing volleyball on the beach! Finally we ended the night with a delicious Mexican dinner, fun bonding time at the hotel, and much needed rest for the busy day ahead!” — Garett Dwyer, Freshman, IU Soul Revue Percussionist
“Yesterday was incredible! My favorite part was definitely bonding with everyone and getting to know people in Soul Revue I didn’t know that well before. Going to the beach and playing volleyball was so fun, even when we were getting competitive.” — Jubilee Brandenberger, Senior, IU Soul Revue Vocalist
“LA so far has been an AMAZING experience. We arrived from the airport to the beach where we enjoyed the weather and today we are heading to babyface’s studio! Can’t wait to see what else LA has in store for us.” — Ana Nelson, Masters Student, IU Soul Revue Horn Coach
