A normal editing day, Albert was checking everyone’s departure time from Paros. It just reminded me about the day we had the pre-departure meeting at IUPUI. Albert also checked everyone’s departure time, but the destination then was Paros. We were excited about the trip at that time, but so quiet during the meeting because we were still strangers. Now we talked, joked, and laughed. We like to say we are family now.
This is the last week we are here. Our documentaries are about to finish. Today Albert and Thomas invited Colin Brown as a narrator for our documentaries. The institute suddenly became a recording room. Everyone found a place to stay quiet, take a break, and learn how to record sound. I even hid between two glass doors. I felt like it would stop more sound from me.We also had a wonderful group dinner. Joy made dinner for us, which was so delicious. This was the first time trying this food for me. I like to try new things, which is also a reason that I chose to study abroad.
Another new thing I tried tonight was Euchre, which is a traditional card game from Indiana. Kate told me, people from other states may not even know this game. It was a good time to learn it since I will not be returning to Indiana after this trip. I will miss these three years in Indianapolis, and I will miss these three weeks in Paros, with you.
