JEDI 2024 goal
In 2024, our JEDI initiative embarks on a transformative journey, driven by ambitious goals. We aim to fortify our commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion by implementing targeted strategies across all facets of our organization. Central to our agenda is:
- Selection of visionary JEDI leaders for 2024 – Individuals dedicated to championing JEDI core values and mission
JEDI has actively contributed to enhancing our DrPH program to better accommodate international students, by refining curriculum structures, offering tailored support services, and fostering cross-cultural dialogue. This initiative embodies our dedication to fostering global collaboration and nurturing the next generation of public health leaders.
Women’s History Month
During Women’s History Month, we are compelled to reflect on the extraordinary contributions of women across the globe, acknowledging their profound impact on every aspect of society. From the pioneering spirit of Marie Curie, whose groundbreaking discoveries revolutionized science, to the tireless advocacy of Rosa Parks, igniting a movement for civil rights, women have continuously shattered barriers and reshaped history. Their stories inspire us to champion diversity, equality, equity, and inclusion in all facets of life. Maya Angelou’s words echo the resilience of women: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
The legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg exemplifies the relentless pursuit of justice and equality, reminding us that “women belong in all places where decisions are being made.” Meanwhile, Malala Yousafzai’s unwavering dedication to education amplifies the importance of empowering women worldwide.
As we honor these remarkable women and countless others, let us not only celebrate their achievements but also recognize the ongoing journey toward gender equality. By creating inclusive spaces that uplift and amplify women’s voices, we ensure a future where every individual can thrive, irrespective of gender. Women’s History Month serves as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue, action, and progress, propelling us toward a more equitable and inclusive society for generations to come.
Ramadan
As Ramadan graces us with its presence, we are reminded of its profound significance in the Islamic faith. This sacred month offers a time of reflection, spiritual growth, and renewal of faith. Let us embrace the blessings of Ramadan, fostering compassion, generosity, and unity within our communities. Through fasting and prayer, we seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, striving to purify our hearts and souls. May our fasting and prayers be accepted, guiding us towards righteousness and inner peace. Ya Allah, accept our fasts (يا الله، اقبل صيامنا), forgive our shortcomings (اغفر زلاتنا), and shower us with your mercy and blessings (وارزقنا رحمتك وبركاتك). Amen.

Easter stands as the cornerstone of Christian faith, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It symbolizes hope, renewal, and redemption, offering believers a profound spiritual journey.
