We are excited to announce some new updates to our Master of Health Administration (MHA) program that will allow students more flexibility in navigating their learning experience.
Effective fall 2024, students will have the option of pursuing an in-person/hybrid experience (traditional 16-week semesters) or accelerated 8-week, 100% asynchronous sessions online. The in-person and online options are each 42 credits and all courses are taught by the same faculty.
“These updates have been undertaken to modernize the curriculum and position the program more competitively in both the residential and online markets,” said Dr. Antionette Smith Epps, MHA program director and associate professor.
Due to job demands, family obligations, or other responsibilities, an increasing share of adult learners are seeking greater flexibility and control over their educational pursuits. The online MHA is designed to meet the needs of this group of students.
Residential students often desire a greater community feel and seek more engagement with others during their education. For students who want this experience, the in-person/hybrid MHA program will continue to offer personal engagement with MHA faculty, in-person experiential learning opportunities, and networking with local leaders. Residential students also engage in collaborative team assignments, project-based learning opportunities and gain valuable skills in community engagement and advocacy.
“Virtual on-demand programs and services will also be available to all MHA students regardless of their delivery mode, making virtual and online networking, coaching and professional development opportunities just a few clicks away for all FSPH MHA students,” said Smith Epps.
The online MHA program is accepting applications for fall 2024 enrollments and will enroll new cohorts each eight weeks in the fall and spring semesters.
