MUSLIM VOICES BLOG GUIDELINES
We invite you to write with us and participate in dialogue and creation, tackling the complexities of Islam and the diverse perspectives of 1.9 billion Muslim people across the world!
Muslim Voices Public Scholarship Project seeks content with a focus on Islam and the Muslim world. We have an audience of a mixed non-expert Muslims and non-Muslims. Our goal is to increase intercultural understandings, promote accessible scholarship, and replace misinformation, mistrust, and oversimplifications with awareness, consideration, dialogue, and a diversity of voices.
We are looking for graduate and advanced undergraduate students, scholars, journalists, and community members from a wide range of fields that can contribute to dismantling stereotypes of Islam and Muslims. We welcome contributions in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, singular pieces of written content, photo essays, an essay series, interviews with notable individuals or organizations, and video or audio pieces. Writing in another language is also encouraged as long as a translation in English is also provided.
Regular contributors can be featured as team members on the site. Current Muslim Voices editors are here to assist; we will help you brainstorm and plan ideas for your upcoming posts. Contributors should expect some editing assistance from team members as well.
