Q: What made you decide to pursue the MSHM program?

A: I wanted to take a year before applying for medical school; I was stuck between looking for jobs or continuing my education. I, of course, ended up choosing more education! I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to build a well-rounded healthcare foundation before entering the medical field.

Q: What has been the most impactful part of the MSHM program?

A: So far, my peers have been the most impactful piece of the MSHM program. Our cohort became close quickly during the summer; now, they are some of my best friends. It is an honor going through this program with them and learning from each other.

Q: Where is your practicum site?

A: I began my practicum with Katie Dooley at IU Health’s GOAL program. GOAL (Get Onboard Active Living) is a free program encouraging a healthy lifestyle for families and their children.

Q: What are you most excited about?

A: I’m eager to start my work and help in the community. Some of my interests include photography, exercise, basketball, going to concerts, and trying new foods. I hope to get accepted into medical school for the 2023-2024 year!
