Organization
Intern will be working for The Bluffs and Lake George Senior Living. The Bluffs is a 132-bed non-profit Skilled Nursing facility (SNF) in Columbia, Missouri. We provide long term care and short-term rehabilitation care to elderly. The Bluffs is a non-profit nursing home governed by 9 board members. The Executive Director oversees day-to-day operations, manages the external affairs, and provides the strategic directions to the organization.
Lake George Senior Living is a small senior living facility in Columbia, MO. We have 8 assisted living and 5 independent living apartments. Lake George provides very personalized care and home like environment for its residents.
This is a good opportunity for interns to learn about long term care operations and marketing. I encourage students interested in leading a facility or entrepreneurship or marketing to apply.

Job/Project Overview
The duties of the Marketing intern is to improve the digital presence of the Lake George Senior Living and The Bluffs. You will have the opportunity to revamp the website and increase social media presence. You can increase Facebook followers and create new social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Linked-In. You can also create a blog or newsletter for the organization. You will also learning about search engine optimization and other strategies of digital marketing. Finally you will working on improving brand image of the organization

Preceptor
Roystan Pais, I am the Executive Director at The Bluffs. I have about 10 direct reports and oversee 180 associates. I also own Lake George Senior Living. I have more10 years of experience in managing hospitals and long-term care facilities. I have managed a wide range of senior living communities including Skilled Nursing facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, Life Care CCRCs and post-acute care centers. I have worked in private, government and non-profit healthcare facilities. I have turned around financial struggling healthcare facilities. Prior to this, as the Division Director for the State of Missouri I managed 7 long term care VA nursing homes. In that position, I managed a budget of 130 million overseen more than 2000 employees. I am a fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
