Our residents have nowhere else to turn for end-of-life accommodations. But they have us, and they have you. Applicants must be comfortable with the concept of death as we serve hospice patients.

The Project Specialist provides administrative, fundraising, and programing support for Morning Light operations and programs including at Pennwood Place and the Abbie Hunt Bryce Home
Job/Project Overview
- Provides care assistance to patients at The Abbie Hunt Bryce Home as needed.
- Provides consulting and execution for programming development at the Abbie Hunt Bryce Home.
- Provides administrative support for Morning Light operations and programs.
- Works with staff on fundraising event projects and marketing initiatives.
- Assists in inventory management at The Abbie Hunt Bryce Home.
- Helps maintain historical meeting files and records and participates in organizational meetings.
- Demonstrates exemplary customer service when dealing with external and internal customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL
- Must be able to speak clearly and distinctly
- Must have visual, hearing and mental ability to initiate and comprehend written and verbal communication
- Requires manual dexterity and mobility to operate and access assigned office equipment
- Requires physical ability to lift and carry reports or supplies of up to 20 pounds
Qualifications
- College graduate preferred, with 6 months of team-based work experience, including proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to accurately record meeting minutes, presentation data, and information for reports
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a positive attitude to promote the organization’s Mission internally and externally
- Ability to multi task, work independently and be a problem solver
- Must be flexible, adaptable and open to changing tasks, new ideas and organizational changes
- Must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality
- Must have valid Indiana motor vehicle operator’s license and have access to a reliable automobile with current insurance coverage

Preceptor
Katie Dooley is a Program Manager at IU Health with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and a master’s degree in Kinesiology – both from IU Bloomington. In her role, Katie is responsible for all aspects of the GOAL program, including partnership management, curriculum development, direct program implementation, and evaluation. This role allows Katie to bring together her background in sociology and health behavior change to work with individuals and families at varying stages of behavior change and socioeconomic status and the barriers that they may be facing. Over the last 10 years with GOAL, Katie has worked with hundreds of children and their families, and over 30 IU undergraduate and graduate students as an internship preceptor. She values a fun, collaborative, and interactive work environment that drives programming forward and helps children and families receive the support they need.
