Q: Where are you now?
A: I am currently an Administrative Fellow with Beacon Health System in South Bend, Indiana. The Administrative Fellowship is part of Beacon Health System’s Management Development Program (MDP), a rotational leadership program that builds a foundation for professionals who aspire to be healthcare leaders.

Q: What were your key takeaways from the MSHM program?
A: There are several key takeaways from the MHSM program that have helped me excel in my current position, but first and foremost, the program does an incredible job of teaching what it really means to be a leader. Being able to effectively communicate with, and listen to those around you is absolutely essential for all leaders. The MHSM program incorporates these skills into all facets of the curriculum.

I can say with certainty that I would not have had the opportunity to take on an Administrative Fellowship position without the real-world experience that I gained through my Practicum with IU Health in combination with my coursework.
