Q: Where are you now?
A: I currently work for Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division as an Administrative/Technical Specialist. NSWC Crane offers a variety of career paths and the opportunity to work up and over. Once I have more experience, I hope to transition to a position that more aligns with my degrees. My current position is simply preparing me to be the best I can be by giving me the chance to build on my experience and make me a stronger candidate for my ideal position within the company.
Q: What was the most important thing you learned during your time in the MSHM program?
A: The knowledge I gained from the MSHM program helped me land the job I currently have. I felt very prepared to interview and more comfortable talking about myself. I also felt that I had a strong skill set to offer potential employers. For me, the biggest takeaway from the MSHM program was learning to communicate professionally and build on my personal skill set. I was given the chance to understand my strengths and draw on them. I was also able to address my weaknesses and had a great network of other students to help improve on them!
