Ryan Campion presently serves as the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Nexxt Spine, a leading medical device company specializing in developing spine surgery implants and instruments.
Ryan is renowned for his expertise in 3D printing technology and boasts a wealth of experience in the medical device industry, spanning 22 years. Throughout his career, Ryan has successfully brought nearly 50 products to market, ranging from implants and digital health solutions to cutting-edge enabling technologies. His forte lies in creating and nurturing new market segments. Before his recent ventures in the dental and startup realms, Ryan was Senior Director of Marketing at Zimmer Biomet, where he spearheaded global marketing efforts for the Spine business unit, overseeing its growth marking its first two-quarters of expansion since 2015. Before that, he held leadership roles at various medical device companies, ranging from Fortune 500 giants to innovative startups. Notably, Ryan played a pivotal role at LDR Spine, being one of the pioneering marketing hires, and witnessed its successful IPO in 2013, ultimately leading to its acquisition by Zimmer Biomet for a staggering $1.1 billion in 2016. Ryan initiated his career as an engineer, leading global product development initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University and has completed the Stanford University Biodesign Executive Education program.
Our MSHM students are working in Ryan’s team on several real-world projects, from conducting market research and analyzing the healthcare policy landscape to identifying opportunities to conduct clinical and health economics studies, with the ultimate goal of enhancing patient access and advancing healthcare delivery in the realm of spine surgery implants and instruments.
