Young Scholar, Inaugural WINIR Young Scholars Workshop 2023
This call for abstracts invites submissions that interrogate interdisciplinary perspectives, embracing different aspects such as: Society and Institutions; Web3 and Institutions; Technology and Trust; as well as Sustainability and Technology, among others. Ph.D. scholars in economics, law, sociology, anthropology, development studies, and other related disciplines are encouraged to apply. You should currently be enrolled in a PhD or doctoral research programme. Successful applicants will be invited to present their research to an audience of peers and senior scholars, and receive constructive conceptual and methodological critique.
Graduate Assistantship, REEI at Indiana University
All graduate students (regardless of school) are welcome to apply for 2023-24 R. F. BYRNES RUSSIAN AND EAST EUROPEAN INSTITUTE (REEI) graduate assistantships. Those in REEI and dual REEI degree programs are particularly encouraged to apply for the Communications Assistant and Outreach Assistant positions. The Curricular Development Assistant position is open to PhD candidates only (i.e. graduate students who have passed their qualifying examinations and are cleared to register for G901). At this point, we are uncertain as to how many of the GAships will be available for 2023-24, but we are accepting applications for all three positions. REEI GAs work an average of 19 hours/week during each semester. All GAships provide an annual salary of $22,000 (distributed in 10 equal payments from beginning of Fall Semester to end of Spring Semester) and health insurance. The positions of REEI Communications Assistant and REEI Outreach Assistant also provide a tuition remission (covering courses in Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies and/or College of Arts and Sciences only) of up to 12 credits a semester.

Visiting Professor, Penn State University
Penn State Law, based in University Park, PA, is seeking visiting assistant professors, associate professors, or professors for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is a non-tenure-track limited-term appointment for up to one year. A law degree – J.D., LL.B., LL.M., or J.S.D. – is required. The successful applicant will also have experience that suggests the ability to effectively teach students, prior teaching experience as an adjunct professor, guest lecturer or other equivalent experience teaching/supervising law students in an academic context, or relevant practice experience.

The Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education at the University of Florida is a multidisciplinary university center that conducts teaching, research, and public programming concerning the ideas, traditions, and texts that form the foundations of Western Civilization and the American political order. The Center seeks to fill several tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, to start in the 2023-24 academic year. Staten Island Legal Services (across the street from the ferry), is seeking a Staff Attorney to join its Government Benefits & Disability Advocacy Project. The Staff Attorney will advocate to retain, obtain, or increase critical public benefits, including cash public assistance, SNAP/Food Stamps, WIC, housing subsidies (such as FHEPS), and Unemployment Insurance/Supplemental Security Income/Social Security Disability (UI/SSI/SSD). They will work on health law issues, helping clients obtain or retain public health insurance and services such as Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care. Applicants must be admitted to practice in New York and have a strong interest in litigation and working directly with clients.
