Legal Writing Lecturer, Indiana University Bloomington
The Indiana University Maurer School of Law is seeking applicants for appointment as a full-time Lecturer to teach two sections of the first-year course in legal writing and research beginning with the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in any field, a Juris Doctorate or foreign equivalent, at least two years of experience practicing law, and a strong academic record. Applicants must also have excellent writing skills, the ability and desire to work collaboratively on an established team, a strong interest in teaching legal writing, and a sensitivity to the needs of beginning law students.
Adjunct Faculty, University of Virginia
The University of Virginia School of Law seeks applications to fill one or more lecturer/adjunct faculty positions for the 2023-24 academic year. These lecturer/adjunct faculty positions are part-time, non-tenure-track, and without benefits (“faculty wage”), and they typically involve teaching one upper-level elective course during the fall or spring semester of the academic year. Fellows will devote an academic year to research, discussion, and scholarly collaboration on topics related to law and public affairs. Visiting professor positions are temporary full-time faculty positions at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor that may last from one semester to two years in length. The law school is particularly interested in visiting professor candidates with significant teaching and/or practice experience in the following areas: torts, constitutional law, administrative law, and a range of environmental law upper-level elective courses such as climate change law, energy law, and natural resources law.
