Audition Requirements
1. List of repertoire studied during the past two years. Indicate pieces that have been memorized or performed in recital.
2. Links to unedited recordings of two pieces of contrasting character and style (YouTube links preferred). Pieces should be memorized. If you attended the Piano Academy last year, the Directors may be willing to waive your audition recording requirement (please contact the Directors to inquire about this). Please note that updated recordings are required if the student is applying for merit scholarship!
3. Letter of recommendation from student’s principal piano teacher

Go to our main webpage, scroll down to “How to Apply,” and follow the instructions for application.
If accepted, you will be notified by email. Once accepted, finish registration online and pay tuition costs in full by April 1, 2026 to secure your place in the Piano Academy!

[Note: students who need an early decision due to an invitation from another program should contact the Directors. An early acceptance from the Academy is usually possible if admission is certain.]
Fees
- Non-refundable application fee: $100
- Full participant tuition: $2400
- Room and board: rates will be posted on our Jacobs Academy webpage in late 2025.
Optional additions:
- Recording Package: $100 – Access to professional audio/video recording of the student’s recital performance(s) during the Academy. Please Note: master classes NOT included, as not all master classes will be recorded.
- Feldenkrais Classes: 5 classes, $75 total
- Camp T-shirt: $27
