The Jacobs School of Music is pleased to announce the Community Impact Grants, available to up to four full-time Jacobs School of Music students for the 2024-2025 academic year. At a time when music performance and production are expanding to include new practices, the grant can be used to support an innovative community project, designed to be completed by June 30, 2025. Collaborative projects that include creatives from departments across the IU Bloomington campus and/or the broader community are strongly encouraged. The grant program is designed to support innovative ideas in performance or research for musicians, scholars, and dancers.
Eligibility
All Jacobs School of Music full-time students are invited to apply. Applicants will need to demonstrate how their project involves innovative practices, community engagement, interdisciplinarity, and objectives that are attainable by June 30, 2025. A complete project proposal can be uploaded to the link below by Monday, October 14, 2024.
Application Requirements
All proposals must include a project description written in clear language accessible to a panel of reviewers, comprised of the following:
- Context for the project, its significance and potential impact
- Innovative practices
- Goals of the project
- A work plan and timeline to accomplish the goals
- Any additional funding or support available for this project
- Complete Income and Expense Budget
A final grant report will be required, including media, photos, video, that effectively capture the value and impact of the project.
