Nashville
The town of Nashville is the county seat of Brown County, IN. Nashville is known as the center of the Brown County Art Colony, which has encouraged regional artists to paint and create art in the area since as early as 1870. According to the 2010 census, Nashville is occupied by 803 people, 359 households, and 167 families. The median age recorded in Nashville is 59.7, with 40% of the population being 65 or older. Salem
The city of Salem serves as the county seat of Washington County, IN. Salem is primarily an agricultural community with plentiful forests, farmland and bodies of water. Corn and soybeans are the primary crops grown in the area. The downtown area in the City of Salem is included on the National Register of Historic Places along with the Carnegie Library; a standout building created by funds donated from Andrew Carnegie. According to the 2010 census, Salem has 6,319 people, 2,662 households and 1,599 families. The median age recorded in Salem is 39.5 years old, with approximately 24% of residents under 18, 8.6% between 18 and 24, 25.6% between 25 and 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.6% 65 or older. Huntingburg
Huntingburg is a small town of 6,500 people located in the Patoka Township of Dubois County. Huntingburg was founded in 1837 and is thought to have received its name due to abundant wildlife, hunting, and fishing found throughout the area. Even today, the town offers many outdoor activities including numerous campsites, walking and hiking trails, tennis and basketball courts, two fishing lakes, a disc golf course, and more! In the downtown area, quaint specialty and antique shops line the Historic District and welcome many visitors. According to the 2010 census, the average age of residents in Huntingburg is 33.2 years old. Nearly 50% of the population is made up of married couples. Bloomington
Bloomington is a city of 85,000 residents that also serves as a home away from home for approximately 50,000 Indiana University students. Bloomington serves as the county seat of Monroe County. The city was established in 1818 by a group of settlers who were impressed by “a haven of blooms”, which led them to name the area Bloomington. The city is characterized by both the university and natural land resources that provide beautiful limestone for buildings and sculptures throughout the nation. The median age of residents is 24.3 years old, and the median household income is $38,897. The median value of all housing units in 2017 was $236,226 and median gross rent is $837 per month. 36.6% of the population is considered to be living below the poverty line (all numbers include university students).

Batesville
Founded in 1852, Batesville is a thriving community of about 6,686 residents. Between 1867 and 1892, Batesville was home to nine furniture, coffin, and novelty factories that made use of the plentiful hardwood timber in the area. In current times, farming has risen to become one of the most important occupations in Batesville. Medical technology company Hillrom also has a substantial presence in the town, employing over 1,700 residents. Paoli
Paoli serves as the town seat of Orange County. The town was laid out in 1816, and throughout its first decades, it was known as a Quaker town that transported enslaved people from the South to Canada as part of the Underground Railroad. Paoli is also the sight of the Pioneer Mothers Memorial Forest, a surviving piece of the virgin oak forest that was once extensive throughout southern Indiana.
