MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
The IU Center for Rural Engagement and the Jacobs School of Music have been working in partnership for two years to improve quality of life throughout South-Central Indiana. Together, the project has included 23 projects, 25 performances, and 29 masterclasses across 6 Indiana partner communities, with more than 250 IU students in firsthand community engagement experiences. We are now moving onto a new, expanded version of this project, and are looking for exceptional team members to join us!
We are searching for a highly motivated Media Communications Intern with experience in artistic and cultural projects. Fluency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign, experience with Social Media marketing, and excellent writing skills are crucial for this position. Responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining social media presence
- Providing photo and video coverage of events
- Creating marketing materials including website posts, posters, digital advertisements, press releases
- Working with outside media organizations to encourage coverage of our initiatives
- Strengthening communication between the Jacobs School and South-Central Indiana communities
- Assisting the JSoM team with event planning tasks, grant writing, and fund tracking

Pay: $15/hr | Commitment: 10-15 hours per week
