Professor Lynker, who’s been leading PHYS-S 106 this semester, has agreed to let the IUSB Physics Club “take over” on Thursday, November 18th, to host a club event. Notably, the reasons to gather are multi-fold, so we’re hoping for a big turnout:
- We’re very excited to have an active club again, after a tough year due to the pandemic, and the club would like to invite / welcome new members and do some planning for the rest of the academic year. This will be social and fun, and the department will provide pizza and soft drinks.
- ΣΠΣ, a national physics honor society, is turning 100 this December, and we’d like to celebrate the occasion because we have an active chapter on our campus and induct new members at our year-end celebration almost every year. We’ll have some swag from the national organization to give away, and we’ll try to get a cake, too!
- Local alumni are welcome (and quite encouraged!) to join us, even if it’s just to stop in for a late lunch.
As always, S106 takes place in NS0063 starting at 2:30 p.m.
