I had to choose between Luis Morales‘s (IUSB Physics BS ’14) contributed talk and Dr. Andrew Ratkiewicz‘s (IUSB Physics BS ’06) invited talk at 3:00 p.m. EDT Saturday at the (virtual) Fall Meeting of the APS Division of Nuclear Physics (DNP). My solution was to listen to Luis’s talk and then join Andrew’s 1/3 of the way in. Both talks were very interesting, by the way.
Later on Saturday I tuned in to the poster presentation by Liz Alters (current IUSB physics major) as a participant in the Conference Experience for Undergraduate (CEU) program, which was directed again this year by Dr. Shelly Lesher (IUSB Physics BA ’99).
Dr. Scott Marley (IUSB Physics BS ’04), a member of the local organizing committee as a faculty member at Louisiana State University, chaired a mini-symposium on Friday.
It sure would have been nice to meet up with all these IUSB physics majors in New Orleans…
