The 2025 Cohort of IU post professional OTD cohort continues to produce high quality, high impact community engaged research products that directly benefit their various communities around our country! Post professional student Kayla Lang, who resides in Chicago, is completing a policy analysis regarding the caseload and workload of Occupational Therapists in school systems. With the assistance of her faculty mentor, Professor Emeritus Dr. Patty Scott, and collaborating with the American Occupational Therapy Association Federal Affairs Team, they hope to publish her work upon completion of the program this August. We will be sure to share her work when it becomes available!
Likewise, local Indianapolis resident Tiffany Stead continues to grow faculty member Dr. Tony Chase’s Skills on Wheels program through her own capstone work. Stead seeks to enhance wheelchair skills training through video application. We are eager to see what other creative ways Dr. Chase and Stead, who also serves as adjunct faculty in the entry-level OTD program, collaborate in the future.
Applications for the 2026 Cohort continue until July 31st. Visit https://shhs.indianapolis.iu.edu/academics/occupational-therapy/postprofessional/admissions/index.html today!
