In October of 2024, IU OT students joined the Skills on Wheels Team and Kids Dance Outreach to put on the Fueling Life on Wheels (FLOW) program. Wheelchair-using children from the Indianapolis area joined the team to teach choreography, participate in fun activities, and encourage them to see themselves as dancers. Through these activities, Dr. Chase and his research team are studying the impacts of the program on participants self-esteem and confidence. The FLOW program is slated to continue as a regular part of the departmental offerings by the Skills on Wheels team.
