SII Engages in Community Learning Innovation Sprint with Fair Oaks Farms

In a cross-university collaboration, the IU Indianapolis Sports Innovation Institute engaged in a design innovation sprint with Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, IN in the fall of 2019.

Twelve sport management students from three universities set out to answer the question “How do we use sport and physical activity to get users to stay at Fair Oaks Farms for multiple days?”. In teams of three with mentoring from faculty, the students engaged in a micro-immersive experience in community engaged learning.

After analyzing what was going on at Fair Oaks Farms, the students immersed themselves in the property and drilled down to find the problem before pitching their solutions to Fair Oaks Farms.
