• New ChemOffice Changes

Revvity Signals, the vendor of the Signals, ChemOffice and ChemDraw software, is transitioning to a new platform called Signals Notebook Standard. If you have used Signals Notebook or ChemDraw Cloud and wish to continue using it, you will need to transition to the new platform.

The Statewide IT Conference is IU’s annual gathering of its tech staff members and IT thought leaders from all nine campuses. More than 800 gather every year to exchange information about the latest in technology, university initiatives, and developments in the field. Attendees hear from IT leaders during the opening keynotes, learn from a variety of breakout sessions and topic tables, and network with colleagues at social events.

Assistive Technology and Accessibility Centers – Fusion @ IU: Assistive Technology for vision impaired clients

John Ault of the UITS Assistive Technology and Accessibility Centers will provide an overview and demonstration of the software program Fusion available at IU. Fusion is an assistive technology program for individuals with vision impairments. It consists of two applications, ZoomText and JAWS, both of which support low-vision users. In addition to availability on IU STC computers, IU students, faculty, and staff can access personal versions of ZoomText and JAWS through IUware.

EdCert course – Configuring Windows Server Hybrid Advanced Services

8:30am-4:30pm ET

This course teaches IT professionals to configure advanced Windows Server services using on-premises, hybrid, and cloud technologies. Skills include leveraging Azure’s hybrid capabilities, migrating workloads to Azure IaaS, securing Azure VMs, and performing high availability, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery tasks. Key tools include Windows Admin Center, PowerShell, Azure Arc, Azure Automation Update Management, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Azure Security Center, Azure Migrate, and Azure Monitor. This course also helps prepare for the AZ-801 certification exam.

Sunday March 16, between 8am and 12pm ET, Instructure (Canvas) will be performing a regularly scheduled monthly release in the IU Canvas instance.  There is no downtime expected for this maintenance.

With this session we will ask “What is your leadership style”? We will discuss the difference between manager vs. leader and which one you want to be.
