Congratulations to Jason Whitney, IU Ventures associate vice president and IU Angel Network executive director. He has joined the board of directors at Dimension Mill, the 19,000-square-foot coworking space and business incubator in downtown Bloomington.
“IU Ventures and Dimension Mill collaborate jointly on educational programming and in the creation of new opportunities for entrepreneurs to access talent, venture funding and commercialization partners,” Whitney said. “I am looking forward to being a larger part of the area’s entrepreneurial efforts.”
As part of his board duties, Whitney will develop new engagement opportunities for IU students to use Dimension Mill. He will also use the space as a selling point in recruiting efforts to encourage IU alumni to expand their businesses back to the region.
Whitney said Dimension Mill bridges the gap between university resources and statewide resources.
“Our team has worked hard to create new opportunities for students to engage in programming and to network with experienced entrepreneurs who use the space on a daily basis,” Whitney said. “We were proud that the space was able to host several student teams throughout the summer, and those teams continue to utilize the space as they work toward launches of new products.”
