Indiana University Northwest marketing professor Subir Bandyopadhyay has been named Small Business Advocate of the Year by the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center.
Bandyopadhyay has played a central role in a series of small business workshops that IU Northwest’s School of Business and Economics has organized since 2012. He also led student projects to provide marketing services for several northwest Indiana companies and assists the city of Gary in evaluating economic development proposals.
Many of the workshops involved were partly supported by Innovate Indiana’s Council for Regional Engagement and Economic Development (CREED) — including financial assistance from CREED’s RED Fund.
