Jessica Arroyo-Lopez is a sophomore studying Health Sciences at Indiana University Indianapolis School of Health & Human Sciences. She is currently working on the following programs:
- Black Maternal Health ECHO
- Lung Cancer ECHO series
- Indiana Peer Education Program (INPEP) ECHO
During Jessica’s time here at the ECHO Center, she feels she’s learned a number of skills, including how to properly communicate with her co-workers, Microsoft excel, as well as how to work with others better! She has also learned how to utilize REDCap form surveys to collect participant information and feedback.
When asked what she would like to see students know about ECHO, she mentioned how the ECHO sessions are virtual, making it easy for anyone to join these sessions – should they be interested in doing so – and how these sessions are very collaborative experiences for physicians and healthcare providers. It isn’t just a session; it’s a time when professionals can learn more about how to treat patients effectively in this vastly changing medical landscape. It’s very different than what she initially expected upon joining the team.
Jessica is excited to continue to learn important skills for her future profession and to see what else 2025 has in store for her, both professionally and personally.
