Angelica Gonzalez is a junior studying Health Sciences at Indiana University Indianapolis School of Health & Human Sciences, is another one of the Life Health Sciences interns who joined us in the Fall. She is currently working within the following programs:
- Comprehensive Pain Management ECHO
- HIV ECHO
- Indiana Hepatitis Academic Mentorship Program (IN-HAMP)
- Indiana Peer Education Program (INPEP) ECHO
Angelica has felt her experience at ECHO has been a smooth process overall and really likes how everything is very detailed. There’s always someone who can help you out, regardless of the issue you have. People here are incredibly welcoming too! She’s found that they’re very easy to work with too. When asked about some things that she wanted other students to know about ECHO before going into it as well, she mentioned how others can learn more about how physicians and healthcare providers work, as well as that sense of collaboration between the two in the ECHO sessions that can help in future careers. Thus far she’s learned skills such as time management, work life balance, and how to prioritize things during different times.
Angelica feels good and feels as though there’s more to come for her here at the ECHO Center, and beyond.
