The Poetry Den is an (online) space for new and experienced poets to bathe in beautiful words. Whether you’re a seasoned poet, newly expressing yourself, or just looking to sit back and listen, the Poetry Den is your place.

We start with an open microphone session to let local talent take their beat. To share your words in this safe and welcoming space, just send us a message and we’ll get you in the mix. Poets may perform in-person at the CRHC (masked at all times, including during your performance) or at home via Zoom.
After the open mic, stay to hear this month’s featured poet:
Kenneth L. Woods is a Hawaii native, literary enthusiast, published author, entomology fan, fun-loving father and husband.

His prose is a compilation of humor; satire intertwined with faith in humanity’s potential and most esteemed his Creator.
He has shared his spoken word poetry with intimate crowds to auditoriums of over 3,000. His artistry has span from the U.S to Greece and France through non-profit sector and corporate collaborations.
Kenny Fresh utilizes the power of words to refresh perspectives about navigating our individual journeys with collective hope.
