UCET Dossier Prep Groups: Sessions on Fri, Feb. 26. If you will be submitting a dossier for promotion in Aug 2021, you are invited to join a sponsored group that can help you put together a dossier that presents your case in the best light possible. Registration for the 2021 Midwest SoTL Conference is Now Open! The morning keynote and concurrent sessions are live via Zoom. Registration fee is $25 for faculty/staff and $10 for students. CFP – 2021 SoTL Twitter Conference Proposals due Mar 1.This year’s Midwest SoTL Conference will include a Twitter Conference for the first time! The event will take place beginning at 1pm on Friday, April 9 and will be entirely virtual. It’s also completely free. We offer the opportunity for you to share innovative teaching ideas in a Twitter session. Each presenter will have just five (5) minutes to share a powerful teaching tip during this fast-paced session. A five (5) minute Q&A session follows, also on Twitter. Short abstracts (under 150 words) are due before midnight on Monday, March 1, 2021.

Every teacher can learn something from a peer, and UCET encourages the sharing of best practices in teaching. Join us for a stand-alone workshop on doing Peer Reviews (both for online and in-person courses) and/or complete online training with a cohort to become a FACET Peer Reviewer. The training consists of seven Canvas modules and a mock peer review of a member of the cohort. The workshop and training will be led by Mallory Edmondson and Jay VanderVeen. Spring 2021 UCET Teaching with Technology Grant Applications Now Being Accepted. The spring 2021 call for proposals for the UCET Teaching with Technology Grant (formerly SEED Grant) is now open through Monday, March 15, 2021. Do you have your eye on a piece of technology or software that you would like to use in an upcoming course that costs up to $1,200? Consider submitting a UCET Teaching with Technology Grant proposal.
