Teaching in Times of Change: Listening Session on Capacity Model
Historically, the customary teaching load for all full-time tenure-track faculty has been based on a semester workload of three courses. The rest of the workload has been routinely assigned to research/creative activities. There is now a formal proposal to codify a process to document the use of – and request for – reassigned time. EVCAA Pearon is seeking feedback on this model. You are welcome to come to UCET (NS 245) and share your comments with members of the Faculty Welfare committee on Monday, Oct. 30 at 4pm or Tuesday, October 31 at 10am.
You are also invited to review the model and share feedback via email to the committee co-chairs by Nov. 1 (note: this deadline has been extended).
Where to find: Capacity Model Draft (or navigate to EVAA Announcement in ACAD-IUSB Faculty Connection Team)
Who to talk to: Faculty Welfare and Personnel Committee co-chairs Jason Resler and Julie Feighery
