Congratulations to Jay VanderVeen and Gabriel Casas for submitting successful assessment grant proposals. On behalf of the Senate Assessment Committee thank you for your commitment to assessment!
Jay will receive support to attend the Lilly Conference in San Diego, a nationally recognized event focused on evidence-based teaching and learning. The conference features sessions on assessment, and more. Jay will then work within his department to create a new assessment program for the newly combined degree program.
Gabe will receive support for the adoption and implementation of the updated Creighton Competency Evaluation Instrument (CCEI) 2.0 within the nursing program. This project involves replacing the current CCEI instrument with the validated CCEI 2.0 version, configuring it within SimCapture for use across clinical and simulation courses, and aligning the new assessment workflows with the expanding clinical simulation operations in the Simulation Center.
Congratulations to both!
