Event Details:
8:00 AM – 9:15 AM – Start your day off right with The CASIE Center’s first annual Community Breakfast! We will gather together to network over a hot breakfast from 8:00-9:15 AM. During the event, we will talk about the work we do at CASIE to prevent child abuse and to support children and families through the child abuse investigation process. Indiana Youth Institute will share data on the State of the Child in St. Joseph County, and everyone at the breakfast will participate in a brief Mandated Reporter training.
*You can leave after breakfast, but you are also invited to stay and join us for a Day of Learning.
9:30 AM – 1:00 PM – Learn more about what child abuse looks like in our community and all of the work being done across St. Joseph County to prevent child abuse. Our Day of Learning will include conversations about ACEs and trauma-informed care, along with presentations by several of our community partners: Department of Child Services (DCS), Oaklawn, Youth Service Bureau (YSB), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), and more. Lunch will be provided, and the day will end with a powerful discussion about how we can all work TOGETHER FOR KIDS!
