In an ongoing effort to encourage employee development and provide opportunities at work to learn and grow (Q6 & Q12 respectively of our 2024 MyVoice engagement survey), IUSB has introduced a professional development funding award to support faculty and staff. To be considered for this award, faculty and staff applicants must apply by February 28th, 2025, for spring/summer activities. Applications are completed online via Qualtrics form by applicants and submitted to their immediate supervisors automatically.
Applications must meet the following criteria:
- Activity should be essential to position responsibilities and to the individual’s professional development plan goals
- Priority given for opportunities that advance the IUSB campus mission
- Preference will be given to activities that result in a larger impact, or the development of knowledge and skills that are shareable with other team members
- Priority will be given to individuals that do not already have access to other professional development funding sources
- Dollar limits of $1,000 per individual and $2,500 for multiple user activity or event
- Exceptions to these limits for extraordinary opportunities may be considered
