Led by Cati Hebert-Annis, this Peer Review Cohort is open to faculty who have recently taught an asynchronous online course, or who are teaching asynchronously during the Summer 1 session.
Cohort schedule:
1:00-2:00pm. All sessions will be held on Zoom.
June 3 Performing a Peer Review
This session will focus on best practices in observing a colleague’s teaching. Please read and complete the “Performing a Peer Review” module of the FACET Peer Review of Teaching Certification Course prior to this session. To earn full FACET certification as a Peer Reviewer, participants will need to attend all cohort sessions and submit a final report.
June 10 Enriching Your Review
This session will focus on how to address a colleague’s additional course materials, syllabus and Canvas site. Please read and complete the “Enriching Your Peer Review” module of the FACET Peer Review of Teaching Certification Course prior to this session. To earn full FACET certification as a Peer Reviewer, participants will need to attend all cohort sessions and submit a final report.
June 17 Documenting Your Review
This session will focus on writing formative and summative documents of a review. We will also pair up for our practicum and, if time allows, start with pre-observation meetings in pairs. Please read and complete the “Documenting Your Peer Review” module of the FACET Peer Review of Teaching Certification Course prior to this session.
June 28 Deliverables due to UCET
To earn full FACET certification as a Peer Reviewer, participants will need to attend all cohort sessions and submit a final report.
