See the artistic perspective of local painter Teresa Greve Wolf as she inspires action on issues of social justice.
Join us on April 25 as we welcome Teresa and her work. Guests will have a chance to explore the exhibition and engage directly with Teresa. Light refreshments will be served.
Painting on large-scale canvases, often connecting multiple canvases together, Teresa Greve Wolf urges viewers to stop and take notice of the cause at hand, using her voice in hope for positive change.
Her calling for change comes from her family living in Chile at the outset of the brutal reign of Augusto Pinochet. Teresa states, “This was a difficult time for many because they could not speak their truth without mysteriously disappearing or getting thrown in jail.” Many of her pieces depict the struggles of the Chilean people during this time while drawing connections to the United States today.
Each piece is infused with bold colors, strong lines, immersing the viewer in the rich palette of colors and daring brushstrokes while drawing them further in to the very real issues she paints. It is through her art she uses her voice in hope for positive change.
