Costco Charitable Contributions – Grant Applications
Selected Keywords: Education, Health, Human Services
Costco Wholesale’s primary charitable efforts specifically focus on programs supporting children, education, and health and human services in the communities where we do business. Throughout the year we receive a large number of requests from nonprofit organizations striving to make a positive impact, and we are thankful to be able to provide support to a variety of organizations and causes. While we would like to respond favorably to all requests, understandably, the needs are far greater than our allocated resources and we are unable to accommodate them all.
Meeting basic needs:
This opportunity will focus on programs supporting children, education, and health and human services in the communities where we do business.
Eligibility:
To apply for Costco support, organizations must meet the following general requirements:
· Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
· Focus on supporting children, education, and/or health and human services
· Monetary requests only
Costco accepts and reviews funding requests throughout the year on a rolling basis, and organizations are eligible to submit one application per fiscal year (Sep-Aug).
Internal Competition Internal Deadline: 4/5/24
External Deadline: 7/1/24
Award: Recommended up to $10,000 for one year. Typical award sizes vary, but organizations should not submit proposals for more than 10% of their program’s overall budget. For new applicants, we advise submitting conservative requests.
Limitation: Organizations may only receive funding from Costco once per year. Please contact Corporate and Foundation Relations at cfr@iu.edu with questions.
If you are interested in applying for this opportunity please let Erika Zynda know (ezynda@iu.edu). Since IU is limited to one award we need to submit an internal application before we can go for the full application.
