Knitting for Peace: Celebrating International Education Week (Nov 13-17)
November 14, 2023
Schurz Library 5th floor
Noon-1:30 pm
Light refreshments served
Bring your needles and yarn (or the library can lend you what you will need) to sit a while in good company as you stitch up your next needlework project. There will be a brief presentation on how Americans have deployed needle and yarn to comfort the afflicted, clothe the chilled, foment revolution, promote peace, and spread the word.
In addition to needles and yarn, we will also provide patterns for clothing and whimsies!
