The IU South Bend Veterans Book Club will meet Thursday Feb 2 (this is a date change) at 5:30 p.m. to discuss Band of Brothers: E Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne: From Normandy to Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest by popular historian Stephen E. Ambrose. It was adapted into the popular HBO miniseries.
We are privileged to have Dr. Jonathan Nashel, professor of 20th century American history, lead our discussion. Dr. Nashel is an engaging and thoughtful historian. His insights are sure to enhance the conversation.
The Veterans Book Club is open to everyone interested in lively discussion and the role of the military and war in our culture. If you are interested and would like a copy of the book, contact Rhonda Culbertson (rculbert@iusb.edu)
