Join your colleagues, as part of an institute, to learn how to include more Diversity in your classroom discussions and assignments. A cohort will work through a series of modules (entirely online) that address diversity in race and ethnicity, gender identity, class and educational background, disability and ability differences. These modules, constructed by faculty across IU, also engage issues of power—how it is concentrated, reinforced, shared, and constructed in higher education. You will find concrete and evidence-based steps you can take to center DEIJ in your pedagogy and the culture of your classroom.
Discussions will take place on 2/11, 2/25, and 3/11 at 3:30 pm on Zoom, led by Jay VanderVeen (jmvander@iusb.edu). Email UCET@iusb.edu to register for this Institute.
