Please join us for another great Pop-Up University Lecture on Thursday, October 21! Dr. Tarek Zidan, Assistant Professor of Social Work, will be presenting “Islam in America: A Social Work Perspective.”
Dr. Zidan’s research interests include Arab Americans’ attitudes toward persons with developmental disabilities, Muslim/Arab Americans’ disability issues, mental health, and well-being. He received his BSW from the Higher Institute of Social Work in Aswan, Egypt, MSW from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, MO., and PhD. in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He teaches research methods and practice evaluation in the BSW and MSW programs.
