Please join us for IU South Bend’s first Staff (full-time, part-time, and student workers!) Volunteer Day, on Friday, Oct. 22, from 8:00am-4:00pm, where we will contribute to park restoration and learn about healthy ecosystems while partnering with South Bend Venues Parks & Arts. Activities will include an educational talk on ecosystems, removing invasive species from the park, and taking a nature hike. Lunch will be provided. Please note that there will be another Staff Volunteer Day during the spring semester in which we will be partnering with the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. This event will be indoors and less strenuous than working in the park. You will be able to attend one of the two options, so please only RSVP for the park restoration day if that is your preference.
